At last, the Community Hall, the kitchen, and the vegetable garden at Mahlabaneni near Big Bend (Swaziland) can be provided with clear water from a borehole by an electric pump. The water supply was sponsored by the German foundation Bild hilft – Ein Herz für Kinder which is gratefully appreciated.
The project manager, Mrs. Busi Vilakazi, wrote in a letter of thanks:
I would like to pass our greatest gratitudes to all of you, we now have nice clean drinking and washing water, we also have already planted maize and we are irrigating, after harvesting it, we will plant vegetables, we are now going to be able to plant right round the year and that’s going to make a big difference in the children’s lives. Thank you once again.

Die vorweihnachtliche Hilfsaktion Ein Herz für Kinder (Bild hilft, Hamburg) hat es ermöglicht, dass jetzt endlich ein Wasserbrunnen erfolgreich gebohrt und Leitungen zur Küche und zum eigenen Gemüseland des Entwicklungsprojektes in Mahlabaneni gelegt werden konnten. Die Fotos zeigen das Anbohren, das erste noch erdige Wasser und dann den Strahl klaren Wassers. Über diese Verbesserungen der Lage freuen wir uns sehr mit den Menschen in Mahlabaneni, die einen begeisterten Dankesbrief an den Sponsor Bild hilft geschickt haben.
